The L and some stars
Urban Art
I can say I live in a city with my eyes closed and soundless. I know how urbanism smells.
I smell colours while I am painting. I love how colours smell. I do urban art, but not graffity or... I install objects on buildings totally randomly. I do assemblange and constraction on one hand, but digital collage on the other hand. I stylize urban art. I sugerate urbanism by millions of connections that I do between words. My word game is like a subway map, that shows two things: the fastest way to move in a crowded city and the conections between trains. I draw somehow the face of a big city life.
This art piece: „The L and some stars” is a metaphore for the Universe that becomes Universal among the globalization and loss of tradition. Is a picto poetry wihch remainds of natures’ tenderness by pictural elements, such as rust and mud, that I have conserved. „The L and some stars” is an image obtained by joining several heterogeneous elements such as: the facade of the building, an old lightbox commercial on which I had painted, two plasterboard panels painted with acrylic, metallic catches, bar on the ground floor, street atmosphere. It’s something in between urban art and Picto-Poems „Vers” in Romanin is „Verse” and „Univers” is „Universe”. I chose to use international words, symbol as a unique universe (with a mixed population).
