The night of the Sanziene

Event during the night of the 23th of June (the night of the Sanziene) – a mystical story that comes from the dacians. The legend says that during this night a group of young and unbelievable beautiful ladies are dancing in circles, burning the grass and punishing the men they meet (especially young men) with blindness or other terrifying curses. They generally have been seen in groups of three, five or seven.

”Dacian Defense”

is a performance meant to be watched only during the night of the 23th of June (the night of the Sanziene) – a mystical story that comes from the dacians. The legend says that during this night a group of young and unbelievable beautiful ladies are dancing in circles, burning the grass and punishing the men they meet (especially young men) with blindness or other terrifying curses. They generally have been seen in groups of three, five or seven. In 2017, during the one night” IELE” exhibition, the” Dacian Defense” performance has been in the same circle with the ” Caught in the mirage of remembering” installation (5 photography pieces disposed as a circle).
